The new IBM FlashSystem family (now including Storwize) simplifies storage for hybrid multicloud. With a unified set of software, tools and API’s, IBM’s hybrid flash and all flash storage array storage address the entire range of storage needs, all from one data platform that extends enterprise functionality throughout your storage estate.

IBM Spectrum Virtualize software is integrated into FlashSystem and allows the management of over 500 heterogeneous storage systems, from IBM or 3rd party vendors, that your customers may already own. It offers 3-site replication, improved scalability and data reduction. These benefits can enhance existing environments, lower your critical Capital Expenditures and Operational Expenditures. Plus, when the time comes to replace legacy systems, you can migrate data to IBM FlashSystem storage.

Also included is IBM Storage Insights, offering cloud based, AI-driven comprehensive performance and capacity monitoring, reporting, and proactive support. With support for cloud and non-IBM storage, more data can now be monitored from a single screen.

Enterprises or publich organisations often have need for more than storage for on-prem workloads, and IBM Spectrum Virtualize for Public Cloud supports hybrid multicloud deployments and can lower critical costs.

Finally, the IBM Flashsystem support for Red Hat OpenShift and Ansible, Container Storage Interface (CSI), and Kubernetes means that all storage built with IBM Spectrum Virtualize, including IBM FlashSystem, is ready for new generation applications.
